Road Trip

I'm happy to announce that we had no outrageous happenings during our trip. We left early on Wed. morning so the kids slept for about 4 hours which meant we could get about half way there before needing to stop. While we were at a gas station in the thriving metropolis of Wamsutter I was feeding Kian, Steve was in the restroom and Brayden and T.K. were wondering around the car. Then the car alarm started going off. I'm turning the key and pushing buttons, (all while trying to nurse) Brayden is in the backseat sounding very concerned. Finally I took the keys and got out to unlock the driver's door, it worked, whew!

When we got to Granny and Papa's everyone was all kinds of excited. They boys got to take a tractor ride with Papa and run around their 5 acre farm.

That night everyone slept well. The nights after that were a little less than ideal. Kian stayed awake all night the second night and the other boys got up way earlier than they usually do.

Thanksgiving was great and delicious! It was so good to see my mom and dad. I even got to see my aunt and uncle and my cousin and her husband, family is so fun!

On the way home we stopped in a huge city called Green River. Our heads were spinning with the size of everything. So you can imagine how sophisticated everything was. I just want to pose a question about gas station names, they all seem to be strangely scandalous ie: Kwik-E-Mart, Grab 'N Go, and my new personal favorite, Loaf 'N Jug (found in Green River). I know! What the? I have included photographic proof as I know you wouldn't believe me.

Oh and an update on Ethel. We think she has passed but Steve is getting a Cat Scan today to make sure everything is A-ok. We do know that there are more kidney stone storms to come, blah!

So that would refer to someone grabbing a loaf of bread and a jug of milk? Very creative.

I'm glad your trip went well!! We missed you! (Not that we would have seen you anyway. :( )
