Hello?

There comes a day that every parent looks forward to with eager anticipation: The day they learn how to answer the phone. My kids have been doing this for quite some time, however I usually limit it to my 6-year-old who knows a little bit about phone etiquette. He at least knows to answer and bring the phone to me if it's some one other than dad or grandparents.

I was upstairs today tending to a dirty bottom. Brayden comes in and says T.K. is on the phone. "Ok, with who?" I say.
Brayden: "Dad I think."
When I finally get the phone and by the way it was Steve, thank goodness. He said the conversation went like this:
T.K. "Hello?"
Dad: "Hi who's this?"
T.K.: "Broccoli!"

You see T.K. likes to change his name from day to day. I think two days ago it was Gorilla. I'm just glad it wasn't a teacher or some other figure who would call CPS for naming a child Broccoli.

Evan (3.5) likes to answer the phone now. He'll start saying hello as he's bringing the phone to his face, so I imagine on the other end the people get "LO?" Then he just mumbles "mmhuh, mmhuh, yeah, she right here". I try to get it before he does!
