Last night Steve and I finished a level in Lego Star Wars II. We checked the clock and it was a quarter to 10. "Oh yeah we can play one more level" we said. Foolish, foolish people that we are started into another level. Well an hour later we finished. Steve observed that next time when it's a quarter to we should just go to bed. I agreed thinking I had learned my lesson. This was not so, here are the events of the night:
3:40 a.m. Kian is crying. He has a double ear infection so of course I have to check on him. I pat his bum and he goes back down.
3:50-4:28 a.m. I toss and turn trying to get back to sleep while listening to Steve snore.
4:29 a.m. I hear a noise in the kitchen. Right when I look in that direction the light comes on. Brayden has had a bad dream. I put him on the couch upstairs and go back to bed.
4:45 a.m. I finally dose in to a peaceful slumber.
5:15 a.m. Steve's alarm blares in my ears. I ignore it and just roll over.
6:15 a.m. My alarm blares this time. All I have to say is thank you snooze button!
6:30 a.m. I get up to find Brayden asleep on the couch and T.K. asleep on the floor next to the couch.
Needless to say I'm super tired today. You would think that I would cast the Lego Star Wars aside and concentrate ore on getting my sleep. Yeah maybe I should try that.... NAH!

You guys are so funny!
Ugh. I so remember those days! Only I had an obsession with Need for Speed... then Fable... Then lego star wars... now my hexbox is sitting in a box.
sometimes you just gotta stay up late and have some fun even if it means having an extra tired day the next day!
I am glad we are not the only ones who make poor decisions about what is more important sleep or play. Hope you get to take a nap soon!
