Fitness Update

I am still holding steady at 140-ish. I'm not too bummed because I'm maintaining like a champ, that's encouraging! I haven't taken my measurements in about a month. I'm going to hold off on that until after I finish the Insanity program (about another month). I'm feeling really good, physically though. I can see a difference in my body and I feel healthier and lighter.

Although sometimes it's hard to keep your ultimate goal in sight. You've been there right? You just get in a rut. Sometimes stuff happens... life and you just don't want to deal with it, sometimes it's stuff you shouldn't have to deal with and you just shut down. Sometimes nothing at all happens and you shut down then too. At least I can say I have still worked out and made a valiant effort to do my best. Yesterday I even cut up carrots and celery to munch on, a step in the right direction.

I'm so grateful for good friends and a supportive husband. (SIDE NOTE: Steve is my hero! He's passed two kidney stones in a week. He's been doing Bikram Yoga for about 3 weeks now. He's making an effort to improve himself and I am so inspired by him! He comes home and tells me about these poses that he's getting closer to mastering and he's excited about it! I love it!) So with my super awesome friends that help me keep it real I'm feeling better and better. My goal now is more inner. I want to be my own island, independent and strong! I have a hard time with comparing myself to others and worrying about what others think that's just plain dumb! I know I'm doing the best I can, and that should be all that matters.

Another thing that helps is my knowledge that I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father, he knows my heart even when others don't, even when I don't. It's such a comfort and a strength and for that I am thankful.

Cheers to loving yourself no matter where you are on your journey!

Good Job Mary! I wish you the best on your fitness journey! It definitely isn't an over night thing.
It does take effort- and time. Especially I think when preparing food.
