We went to San Diego last week, it was incredible! The kids were so good. Here they are at the crack of dawn to start out.
We stopped to spend the night in Las Vegas and stayed at the Golden Nugget with some friends (the Johnsons). We got to swim in the pool that has a shark tank in the middle. So awesome! No pictures though. So click on the link and ignore the girls in bikinis.
Here's TK as we were driving through the canyon into Arizona. He was amazed at the mountains. "Wo! Look at that!"
We got to go to Legoland too, it was so much fun. Brayden and TK got to meet some of thier favorite icons. Not kidding people, all Legos!
Thomas the Tank Engine
Spongebob Squarepants
Minitown was one of my favorites. To see the size of these buildings and then to see the size of the smallest Lego, crazy! It's so funny cause they even have a model of a Lego guy sitting on a toilet, with a newspaper, no doubt going poo, so offensive ;) One of the guide things said there were billions of Legos used to construct all the buildings, animals and people.
Brayden and daddy on a ride, Bray giggled the whole time.
We also got to go miniature golfing. Steve was excited to golf with the boys. But they would hit the ball and then go run and pick it up to put it right next to the hole.
I think the boys' favorite ride was the Junior Driving school. They got to drive cars all by themselves. TK had his little evil grin the whole time and Bray was concentrating super hard. It was fun to see how different they were in their approach.
The next day we went to the SeaLife Aquarium. No pictures, we were really smart and took the camera, and left the fully charged batteries at the house.
That night we took the boys down to the beach for the first time. I was worried they would be freaked out but low and behold they are their mother's children. They all wanted to run right down to the water, even Kian.
In the morning we all headed out to the beach. There's not much to say, it was a perfect day.
We all had fun, ate some sand. Steve and I got to boogie board (more pics to come). Steve even got to snorkel with Adam and he was able to see a Leopard Shark!
It was such a great vacation! We only had minimal meltdowns and the car only started to overheat once going through the Mojave. Just a side note, it's not super fun to drive through the dessert with no AC. The GPS that the Johnsons let us borrow greatly limited our getting lost time, a great big thank you to them!
Kim and Adam are the best for letting us crash at their house. It's so great to have friends you can be so comfortable with. Even after 5 years of living in different states, the friendship is still just the way it always was, perfect. Thanks guys!
I'm super excited to see where next year takes us!

Wow- what an awesome vacation! I am so glad you had fun, and with such few issues! Heaven knows traveling with young kids can be tough. Good thing your boys are not just cute, but tough!
